Organizational Systems Security Analyst™ Certification Program


Over the past two weeks, 40 DISM year 2 students have completed in two batches the five-day Organizational Systems Security Analyst™ (OSSA™) Enterprise Security Certification under ThinkSECURE™.

The Organizational Systems Security Analyst™ (OSSA™) is an international practical and technical IT-Security certification course that teaches IT professionals how to secure enterprise networks and systems.

This practical 5-day, hands-on security certification course is geared at equipping participants with the knowledge and practical technical skills necessary to secure their organizations from both internal and external threats, as well as understanding the impact of law on IT-Security policy and operationswithin the organization. At the end of the course, in order to obtain the professional certification each student also has to take and pass a four-hour long practical examination, "where the attendee must apply the methodology learnt during training and use various tools to perform actual actions and commands to obtain the result, can enable employers to verify the true skill and capability of a technical IT-security professional" [securitystartshere.org].

The results of the examination will only be released in two weeks time. In addition, the top scorer will get to receive the ThinkSECURE™ Award worth S$200, which is exclusive to takers from Singapore Polytechnic. Good luck to our DISM students!
