Early Admission Exercise (EAE) 2023

The information on the Polytechnic Early Admission Exercise (EAE) has been released. 

The Polytechnic Early Admissions Exercise (Poly EAE) is an aptitude-based admissions exercise that allows students to apply for and receive conditional offers for admission to polytechnics prior to receiving their O-Level examination results or final Higher Nitec Grade Point Average (GPA).

The application period is from 22 Jun to 28 June.

SP Graduation Ceremony 2023

 

DISM Gold Medallist - Alwis Lim

Congratulations to our Institutional Medallist, Alwis Lim, from the Diploma in Infocomm Security Management course, for winning the Lee Kuan Yew Award! 

Alwis always knew that he wanted to pursue a career in the technology sector which led him to study the Diploma in Infocomm Security Management at SP. A digital steward who holds various leadership roles in youth organisations including People's Association Youth Movement Canberra Youth Network, Youth Corps Singapore, and Cyber Youth Singapore, Alwis still finds time to give back to the community by organising digital literacy workshops for disadvantaged children who live in rental flats in Kebun Baru.

SP Graduation Ceremony - Capital 95.8

The broadcast reported that SP held its convocation today. With the new batch of graduates, there are now over 223,000 alumni, making SP the polytechnic with the most alumni. 

This year, nine top graduates received outstanding student awards. Diploma in Infocomm Security Management (DISM) graduands, Alwis Lim, received this year’s Lee Kuan Yew award. 

He shared that despite how his parents had hoped that he would enter a JC, he wanted to develop his interests and experience in the tech industry. SP also gave him the opportunity to learn and gain experience from working with GovTech. 

He has plans to continue with university education after serving NS.

DISM is now known as DCDF

Diploma in Infocomm Security Management (DISM) course is now officially known as 

Diploma in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics (DCDF). 

The course code remains the same as S54. 

DCDF Logo

You must have seen the Diploma in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics (DCDF)'s logo. It was designed by our students.

In the logo, it has an animal known as "Griffin". The “griffin”, is a legendary creature with the body and tail and back legs of a lion, and the head and wings of an eagle, and an eagle's feet as its front feet. The yellow and red colours represent tropical environment. The griffin was thought of as the king of the creatures and they are known for guarding treasure and priceless possessions.

This is in-line with our DISM tagged line, "Cyber Defenders of Tomorrow".
